Live LARGE by connecting to a BIGGER picture!
Every time I create what I consider to be something “great,” I feel a sense of something more or bigger than myself flowing through me, with me and even as me. Often when I reread something “I” have written or revisit something way-cool that “I” did or experienced during these times of incredible energy and inspiration, I later discover the hallmarks of one of my many “nonphysical” friends or a level of understanding that seemed to go far deeper than anything I had experienced before. And when that conscious recognition brings a wave of intense joy that fills me to the core, there is no doubt that infinite love, intelligence and support are indeed with me.
I believe that we ALL have the ability to connect to a bigger, fuller version of ourselves (aka our Source) and that we also have access to the best parts of everyone we have ever loved. Whether it is hearing the perfect song at the perfect time, seeing a billboard that has the perfect words for you at the moment, running into the perfect person at the perfect time who brought an instant solution to a major problem, or feeling an impulse to “turn here now” and then discover something that seemed to be placed there just for you—evidence of your connection to something bigger is everywhere. Pay attention to the magic that is already happening and by virtue of the Law of Attraction, you can and will open the door for even more!
Allowing the CONNECTION: From absence to presence
Regardless of the subject, to experience the presence of something you must first stop focusing on the absence of it.
Let’s say, for example, you have a desire to connect with someone you love who is now nonphysical. Since demanding that he get back into a human-suit à la Frankenstein is certainly not feasible or beneficial for any party, you should focus upon the knowing that he is still very much alive in a greater sense. Then you can practice seeing him in his NOW state of being happy, fabulous and free, and you then open yourself up to an infinite number of avenues for meaningful connection. For example:
One day my husband, John, brother, Tony, and sister-in-law, Maria, and I were doing a little family Geocaching in Key Vista Nature Park in Holiday, FL. While at home later that night, John told me that the whole time we were together at the park he smelled this sweet scent that seemed to come out of nowhere which could not be traced to any particular flower, plant or anything he or I was wearing. I suggested that perhaps it was one of our loved ones saying “hi” and as I went down a short list of names, the moment I mentioned my brother, Bruce, that exact smell came back to John instantaneously and got super strong! As I continued to make statements that felt like they were actually coming from Bruce, every time it was something that felt “right-on” to me, the smell that John perceived would also instantly get stronger! Even more amazing is the fact that John has had a muted sense of smell for most of his life and rarely would breathe deeply and clearly out of both nostrils. However, during this time his sense of smell was on “overload” and his nose was wide open!
On my end, every time I received/interpreted a statement from my brother, which was then “confirmed” through the sudden intensifying of the smell John experienced, I felt such strong emotion that my eyes flooded with happy tears. Though I had received messages and communication in more subtle forms from Bruce and several others before, this “tag-team” interaction helped me to KNOW his presence—and the absolute existence of nonphysical—in unmistakable terms!
We ALL have “the gift”
If you accept the premise that we are all ONE and that we all come from the same Source, it is silly to think that only a chosen few have “the gift” of being able to connect with nonphysical energy and consciousness. Just like allowing any other area of success, expanding your abilities of connection and perception first begins with having a desire and then feeling for the path of greatest flow. (In John’s case, who knew that his means of translation would happen through interpreting smell!)
Here are some suggestions for Allowing The Power of CONNECTION:
1. Nurture a desire for fuller connection by writing about what you want and WHY you want it.
2. Turn off the TV, phone, etc., and create time and space that is conducive to a quiet and open mind. Set an intention to receive high-vibration communication and spend time focusing only on your breath and on simply BEING. Keep a journal or recording device handy and make a note of any feel-good ideas or insights that flow.
3. Participate in things you genuinely love and follow the call of inspired action.
4. Collect your own personal evidence of connection in action and put it in writing. Review and/or add to it daily or as often as you feel inspired.
The Bottom Line on The Power of CONNECTION
When it comes down to it, connecting with a bigger picture is one of the most profound and rewarding things we can experience as a human beings. To KNOW, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that there is MORE to life than the stuff of flesh, blood and bone is to awaken excellence, to watch the impossible become possible and to feel an ever-present love that can and will fill your life to overflowing. Now THAT’S what I call livin’ LARGE!!
