Oneness: 3 Thoughts That Will Change Your Life

In some way or on some level, don’t we all wonder about our place in the universe?

We come into this life and see we are separate beings. We all wear our own skin, have individual experiences and think our own thoughts.

We forget where we came from and who we are as we get caught up in the Game Of Life. We get distracted by the stuff around us and adopt other people’s knowledge and opinions to fit in. Some things work and some don’t. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes.

As we try to cope, we use aggression, competition and control to deal with our circumstances and conditions. It’s easy to develop the “us” and “them” mentality. We suffer the pain of separation and may even believe that some deity is punishing us.

Saints and sages, religious leaders, tyrants and maniacs all have explained our human plight through myths and religions. Some have been helpful. Some have been devastating.

Consider this:

No. 1—It’s not out there.

The more you try to control conditions and circumstances in the outer world, the more you forget that within you lies the peace, power, love and the truly important qualities you seek. You can never control people or situations enough to feel happy and secure. Have you noticed that?

No. 2—There’s just ONE thing going on and you’re IT.

The Life we live and the Mind we use to think together are just one thing—and while each of us is unique, we all are part of this one Life. The universe and everything in it exists within this ALL-INTELLIGENT CREATIVE MIND. Its nature is Love. Its nature is Harmony, Wisdom, Peace and Abundance. It is the source of Life Itself, and we all partake of that nature. You cannot exist outside this One Life because there is no outside—there’s no place else to go.

Call it God, call it Goldfish—it doesn’t matter. You only need to look around to see that Something greater than we are created it all. I didn’t do it. You didn’t do it. But we can see that there is some kind of Intelligence running the show. Some limitless Source that keeps providing—Life and stuff—ever abundant. Think about it. Get to know it. Call it anything you want.

No. 3—Your thoughts become things.

There is a Spiritual Principle at work whether you know it or not, and the thoughts you think and the way you think directs the events of your life.

You’ve been given complete freedom, and you can use it to make yourself happy or miserable, prosperous or poor, healthy or frail. You can wrestle with the world or you can create your world from within.

If you could realize—absolutely and completely—that you create your world with your thoughts, what’s the first thing you’d stop thinking? What’s the second? Keep asking yourself that question.

Then ask, “What’s the first thing you’d start thinking?”

Good work. Keep it up.
