Creativity is in the Air

By Dolores J. Gozzi

The Archetype of creativity, Gemini, promotes the importance of the mind and loves fresh ideas, whimsical imagination, fun, games, change, communication, writing, speaking, and networking. This creativity can be versatile, curious, humorous, and reminiscent of perpetual youth. It also can seem just out of reach, just like a beautiful feather floating on the breeze. Indeed, creativity definitely is in the Air, and capturing its essence requires an understanding of this realm and its qualities.

Creativity means different things to different people, as we can see from the word’s definition:

Cre•a•tiv•i•ty, noun: 1. the state or quality of being creative. 2. the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination: the need for creativity in modern industry; creativity in the performing arts. 3. the process by which one utilizes creative ability: Extensive reading stimulated his creativity.

The big question is, “How do we get new creative ideas?” If we can tap into the element of Air, it can teach us about the mental realm, communication, intention, conscious language, and setting our own “vibrational” tone. Even though Air is considered to be an invisible realm, it flows through each and every one of us.

Air is the realm where our thoughts are turned into creative ideas and then manifested into physical form.

When we learn how to listen to the element of Air, it can provide us with many thoughts and ideas to fuel our ambitions and projects. Being receptive and being able to listen openly and well are crucial skills involved in getting the creative juices flowing. In this process, Air can help us go within ourselves and listen to our thoughts, as well as to pick up other’s thoughts and integrate them with our own ideas. For example, a Massage Therapist and Healer that lives in a community “receives” the idea to open up a metaphysical practice. Once she is operating the business many people come in and state, “I have been waiting for a place like this to open up.”

Or maybe the following has happened to you. While you are busy food shopping, driving down the road listening to some nice music, talking a relaxing walk, or even preoccupied with a task, all of a sudden the solution to a problem you’ve been mulling over for weeks pops into your head. You can’t help but wonder why you didn’t think of it before. In this case, a connection was made not only to the element of Air, but also to your creative spirit.
When Air taps into the creative side of each individual, it stirs up a desire to explore and innovate ideas and then to bring them into form and reality. However, since Air is all about thinking and the mental realm, some of our own thoughts and belief systems could interfere and limit ourselves. Here are three questions you can ask to help improve the creative process:

1.    Are there any old and thoughts and beliefs that need to move ???does this makes sense?to get clear and current for my life dreams and creations to come into being?
2.    What life perspective(s) do I need to shift to enhance creativity?
3.    Do I need to clear old thoughts and belief systems that no longer serve me to open new channels of thought?

Soaring on the Air currents, much like a bird flying above the planet, we can see the larger perspective of our life.

From this vantage point, we can listen to the whispers of the wind for ways to finally tune our frequency and consciously create our life.
