One Human Family

By Terez Hartmann

I dreamt there was a time

All gathered under the sun

We raised our hands up to the sky

And remembered that we are ONE

And no one was asked to change their religion

And no one was asked to surrender their beliefs

And no one was asked to be less than any other

And kindness, it came naturally

We all danced in the light

All roots and branches of the same tree

And every shade of every color

All joined to form a tapestry

And no one was asked to forsake another

And no one was asked to love differently

And no one was asked to think the same way I do

Yet we all found sweet harmony

I dreamt there was a time

All gathered under the sun

The sun shone down on all

Children of the light – The ALL, The ONE

And all did remember that we are brothers, sisters

All did remember that we come and we go

And all did remember we share the same Mother

And that one day all souls are called home
So let us appreciate each other

And let us revel in our diversity

And let us remember that all are a part

Of one human family

Happy Holidays and many blessings to you, my fabulous, fiery human family.
