7 Steps to Creating My Intentions

By Rev. Elena C. Jones

There are many lessons learned throughout life. Some people learn best through formal education and training, some by conversation, others in the course of hands-on experience. The way we learn and what we do with the information we are taught is up to us. Living life with purpose, confidence, and trust in Mother/Father God has taught me there are no limits to what can be accomplished. However, I did not embody this lesson without a price to pay. The lessons I learned are shared with you in hopes of blessing your life with limitless peace, joy, love, and prosperity.

“The Seven Simple Steps to Creating My Intentions” is the title of my lessons learned, and I would not have learned these seven steps without going into mediation. During this quiet time I was asked to create a motivational conference. The fact that I received such a request startled me for a moment. In my confusion I heard myself saying,

“How can I do this when I only have $79.00 in my checking account?”

Spirit confirmed I live in an unlimited universe and everything will be provided for me; all I had to do was trust. Trusting fully by allowing the transformation process of personal and spiritual growth to occur is difficult. From the embryonic stages of development, I have realized this journey of trust, letting go, and fully being in the present moment is what our Creator intended for us all. I want to share with you my journey through these steps:

  1. The first thing I had to do was to be clear with my intentions.
  2. Second, to make a commitment and stick to it. I knew that to serve up what was being asked of me I needed to first commit to myself as well as the conference.
  3. The next step was to write out the intent so I stayed focused. At the same time, I knew I had to affirm out loud my commitment of my intention. I had not done a conference before and did not know where to turn. Therefore I asked for “the how” from my angels and guides. I had to be open to receive. I wanted all the answers, and they did not come fast enough for me. Since I had not done this before, I knew that I had to ask for help.
  4. Asking for help is the fourth step in creating your intentions. I asked for the right people to be shown to me for my highest and the conference’s highest good, and they were.
  5. Next, the fifth element was revealed to me, which is the plan of action. When plans began coming together, I realized I then needed to let go.
  6. In the sixth step of letting go, I realized by getting out of the way Creator/Spirit was able to do the intended work. The real challenge came when I had to sign a contract and provide a deposit I did not have to give. Before I signed the contract and paid the deposit I learned the seventh step.
  7. The seventh step is having faith and stepping through the fire to get to the other side. The price I paid was not the monetary value of creating and organizing a motivational conference. The price I paid in this lesson was about letting go and fully trusting. The journey to success in creating my intentions is not about the income or possessions obtained, but about the person each of us can become.

The conference was called “Creating My Intentions,” and it took place on Saturday, October 15th, 2011, at the InterContinental Hotel in Tampa, FL. People came from all over. It was magical, and it was divine. As I look back, I am in awe on how incredibly it all unfolded, from the vendors to the speakers. Once I let go, one by one they started showing up. It never ceases to amaze me the power of intention, but it only works when we give ourselves permission to let go and trust in this invisible force that I choose to call God.

I challenge you to become the very best you can, and experience what Mother/Father God will manifest for you.

Intention is thinking like God thinks, that nothing is impossible, that all is possible as long as you believe.

Namaste my brothers and my sisters. May the light of our Creator illuminate your path and may you always remember what an incredible co-creator you truly are.
