When it comes to age, no matter what cycle of life we are in we all stand to both teach and be taught. Every person, young or old, has something to offer the world. As long as we exist there will be a beginning and end to “life.” In our lifetime we will laugh, cry, love, lose loved ones, learn, grow, acquire things and then lose them, etc. Life will cycle with or with out our participation, and it will not always be easy.
Ultimately, as we “cycle” through our life we choose how we will evolve along the way and what we will leave behind for others to gain from our existence. Despite who we are or what we do, we are gifted with an opportunity to experience a cycle of life—our unique life. The more mindfully we live it, the better it becomes. If we know our cycle here, in this physical form, will at some point end, we cannot help but to ask: “What will I leave behind? What is my purpose to be here at all?”
This life is not about the amount of money or possessions we leave for our loved ones, but the way we impact their hearts, as well as humanity as a whole.
At the end of your cycle through this life, whenever it may be, what do you want to leave behind? Take a few moments to sit with just how profound it is to know that you are chosen right now to be here, not 100 years ago or 100 years in the future, right now. There is no mistake that you are here. The “cycle” of life that we now know would not exist without you. You are a part of the whole of everything that is. Embrace it for all that it has to offer you. There is no one else like you and there will never be. This is your life. This is your opportunity to do something wonderful.
Be kind to yourself, others and the environment. Do your best in all that you do. Ask how you can contribute to the highest good of everyone and everything. Don’t accept less than you deserve. Share the wisdom you have with others. Stay open to what others have to teach you. Be who you’re created to be. Above all, give thanks for the opportunity to be here at all.
