Reflections on Creativity

Be CREATIVE!

As young people we give ourselves the freedom to express our creative spirit.

We make houses out of cardboard boxes, masks out of paper bags, color with out fear of what others think, and sing our hearts out when no one is looking. Simply put, we allow the creative spirit in who we are to be revealed in most of what we do. Unfortunately, as we go through our life we tend to be pulled away from our creativity. We no longer allow ourselves the freedom to express or explore our desire to be creative.

No matter how creative we are, or think we are not, it is part of what we are designed to do. As a dear friend Keith Burnson says, “We are created to create.”

Despite how long it has been or how much we try to ignore the creative nature of our existence, it is always yearning to be explored.

There is no secret that it takes much effort to sustain ?ourselves?in the society in which we live. However, regardless of how crazy life may seem, or how busy we get, we must give our creative spirit the time to express itself, always.

Give yourself the freedom to be creative. Use your imagination, color, play, and dream. There is no right or wrong to being creative. Being creative is not only restricted to doing art per say, it actually has no restrictions at all. Let being creative define its own meaning to you. It is in you, it is in me, it is within us all. The ability to be creative has and will never leave you, even if you have not seen it since you were a kid.

Be creative today!
