One of THE most Compelling Human Desires
Just yesterday (at the time of this writing), I happened across my mom’s workbook from the first professional workshop I had ever hosted that she happened to attend. It was based on a tool I’ve shared many times—and still use to this day—called “The 7-Yr Old Exercise,” which starts with this question:
“If you had infinite time, infinite money, and the infinitely free mind of a child, what would you do with your time and your life?”
And when I present this idea, I ask participants to write down whatever comes to mind and to write as quickly as possible. THE first word on the page for my mom? Freedom.
To feel like you truly CAN go, do, experience, and BE whatever you choose is indeed one of the most compelling of all human desires; I know it certainly has been a driving force and essential ingredient in MY life. So as a coach, mentor, and human being who cares for other human beings, it is indeed what I also wish for YOU.
Since every journey begins with a direction and destination in mind, below is the song that I dedicated to my mom after she made her transition (before finding her powerful note), which was also inspired by my own magical moments of true knowing and freedom.* May it ignite a spark of freedom and alignment for you, the ones you love, and the ones you serve.
